1987 Commemorative 1 Rouble Coin from USSR (Russia) - 175th anniversary of Borodino Battle
Obverse: USSR National Coat of Arms, the famous 'hammer and sickle', with CCCP (USSR) and '1 Rouble' underneath.
Reverse: Borodino Battle was the last offensive battle for Napoleon's invasion of Russia in 1812. Even though the French won the battle, they lost the war. This coin depicts a unit of Russian army heading to battle.
